The Coastguard Rescue Service (CRS) is benefitting from significant investments in technology to facilitate operational and administrative functions, fromthe current rollout ofWi-Fi connections to each Coastguard Rescue Baseto a new electronic record keeping system;the next step is to provide each Coastguard Rescue Team with the equipment to allow full utilization of the services being provided.To that end,the provision of an Apple iPad to each Coastguard Rescue Team is necessary toexploit fully the opportunities for enhanced working and greater operational and administrative efficiency.
