Description

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council invites tenders for the provision of Minor Drainage and Watercourse Maintenance Works.

Your tender submission comprising all mandatory and relevant attachments should be uploaded and submitted through the Sandwell In-Tend Supplier Portal by no later than 12 noon on Thursday 31 December 2015.

The scope of works required will include a reactive service to rectify elements of highway and private drainage systems that are defective or non-functioning. Work will include drain cleansing, camera and manual TV surveys, excavations and the repair/replacement of pipework and chambers/manholes. The works may include working in rear gardens of houses where vehicular access is not available.

The successful contractor is to provide the employer with support to respond to drainage related emergencies including flooding. The Contractor shall maintain arrangements whereby he can call out all necessary labour and plant outside normal working hours including nights and public holidays to carry out any work in an emergency.
