Description

The works are situated in three sections in the Prescot Road/Bank Lane area of Melling in Sefton, Merseyside. • For 180m south of the Bank Hall Farm access, on the east side of Bank Lane • On the west side of Bank Lane from Bank Hall Farm access, to just south of the Pear Tree Inn and across to the east side of Prescot Road. • On the west side of Prescot Road, from Pear Tree Inn to Spurriers Lane South of the Bank Hall Farm access The existing footway will be reconstructed to create a new cycleway. The existing verge will be reduced to 1m width. Bank Hall Farm access to the Pear Tree Inn The existing hedge will be removed and there will be a new 3m wide cycleway, with 1.5m verge and new hedge. There will be a toucan crossing just north of the farm access linking the 2 sections of new cycleway. Pear Tree Inn to Spurriers Lane There will be a new 3m wide cycleway, with 1.5m verge and new hedge. There will be a toucan crossing linking the 2 new sections of cycleway at the Pear Tree Inn. There be some minor lighting works and accommodation works. There will also be works to lay duct extending the whole length of the scheme on behalf of Liverpool City Region Groups 'Dig-Once' initiative. Funding has been secured from the Enhancement Programme (Local Growth Fund) and the integrated transport allocation. The scheme funding is being administered by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
