Description

Leicester City Council is considering options for the replacement and extension of its existing Automatic Bollard System. The current system comprises of a series of static and retractable bollards around the city centre pedestrian zone controlled from a senior user terminal (in a control room) supported by CCTV (most locations). The control system allows for access to be granted or rejected through a remote user terminal; vehicles approaching these access and egresses can communicate via intercom directly to the control room.

LCC are not fully aware of what currently exists in the market as options to us, even though the business requirements are known. The Council wants to ensure that they will be using the latest technology and would like advice on what is possible.

Please note this is a Pre-Market Engagement and not a call for competition.
