Description

Basildon Borough Council's requirement under this Contract is for The erection of site hoardings with demolition and site clearance of three existing areas; Freedom House (including colonnade) up to the National Westminster Bank, a single story brick storage compound to the south of Car Park 2 & the Post Office Building. There is also a requirement to carefully dismantle the existing cobbled wall to East Square, cleaning and storage of sufficient flint pebbles to re-use on 30m2 of new wall, (the construction of the new wall will form part of the principal Building Contract). The Contractor is to grub out and remove existing foundations, reduce levels, grade the site / make up levels, provide temporary bracing and waterproofing to party walls as required. There will be works undertaken directly by Basildon Borough Council
