Description

** THIS NOTICE IS FOR MARKET ENGAGEMENT PURPOSES ONLY **

NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board are inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to express their interest in delivering the Conversational Rehab for Stoke Patients Programme.

The project aims to enhance the psychological support provided to stroke patients across the Black Country; Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin; Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent ICS, and involve third-sector organisations such as The Stroke Association.

The purpose of this advert is to invite the market to engage, provide feedback on the draft specification and the data requirement included in the spreadsheet as well as views on digital integration and future opportunities for the service. This will provide the ICB with valuable information to ensure that the service and specification is fit for purpose.

The project, titled "North Midlands Conversational Rehab Collaborative," aims to address the psychological needs of approximately 4,500 stroke patients collectively across the three ICSs over a two-year period. The project involves commissioning an external CPD UK accredited training provider, to train frontline staff within community teams, acute settings, and within third-sector organisations which support the stroke pathway.

The collaborative bid emphasizes a system-wide approach, involving major stakeholders, and aims to provide equitable service by including colleagues from acute settings and the third sector (Stroke Association). The training focuses on conversational rehabilitation to improve patients' feelings of anxiety, depression, and overall functional outcomes.

The purpose of this advert is to invite the market to engage and provide feedback on the draft specification. This will provide the ICB with valuable information to ensure that the service and specification is fit for purpose.

The deadline for market engagement responses is by 17:00 hours on Wednesday 29th November 2023. Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the ICB to carry out any further procurement process. Any future opportunity will be carried out in accordance with the ICB's procurement obligations under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
It is anticipated that the contract period for the future contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing in January 2024.
