Description
The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for Caldicot School.
The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the school, which also includes all hospitality and free issue requirements.
The duration of the contract being offered is three years commencing on 1.8.2018 and concluding on 31.7.2021, with the potential for an extension of up to a further 3 years, and will be on a guaranteed performance basis offering a fixed annual return to the Client.
The contract currently offers a financial return each year to the Client with all hospitality and free issues being charged at net food cost only.
It is expected that the successful Supplier will have experience in the requirements of the Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards & Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2013 ~ http://gov.wales/topics/educationandskills/schoolshome/foodanddrink/healthy-eating/?lang=en ~ and be able to offer innovation and forward thinking during this contract term.
The current contract sales volumes are circa 300 000 GBP, however the Client is moving into a brand new build in September 2017 and adopting a different profile of lunchtime service which is splitting the lunch service for years 7,8 12, and 13 from 12:05 until 12:50 and for years 9,10 and 11 from 13:05 until 13:50. Morning break will be served from 10:45 until 11:05.
As a result of this the sales are expected to grow from their current levels as the catering service becomes more accessible to the pupils.
