Description

Walsall Safeguarding Partnership are seeking applications from individuals whose passion, vision and commitment to safeguarding some of the most vulnerable members of society matches, and challenges that of our own.

This role requires an outstanding individual with proven experience of performing scrutineer activity, managing complex issues and facilitating meetings at a senior level, particularly in partnership settings, and who has a significant operational and strategic understanding of the safeguarding agenda. The successful candidate will need to evidence they have:

• A track record of providing strong leadership and delivering on strategic vision;
• Significant experience in providing independent scrutiny and advice within a partnership setting;
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
• Experience in building and maintaining productive partnerships;
• The ability to analyse complex information and provide robust scrutiny and challenge;
• Detailed understanding of relevant law, statutory guidance and regulations;
• Knowledge and understanding of effective partnership working in safeguarding children and adults.

Note: This is a tender opportunity. The successful person will contract directly with the Council and will provide the services detailed in the duties and specification documents and will contract under the Councils terms and conditions.

The fees paid for this role will be on a day rate basis. The contract term is for one year with 2 x one year extension options and the annual value is estimated at up to £28,800 based on attendance of 48 days per annum. This contract is "for services" and will sit outside of IR35. It is not an employed position.
