Description

An experienced cultural organisation is sought to develop and deliver an engaging light festival for Thamesmead residents, focusing on highlighting our unique landscapes and waterways in northeast Thamesmead.

Thamesmead is an area of south-east London, England, straddling the border between the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Bexley.

The appointed organisation will create a small scale but dynamic festival that will encourage the exploration of Thamesmead's natural spaces through a series of artistic and atmospheric light installations starting on the north-side of Southmere Lake and leading into Crossway Park and the former Golf Course, highlighting key features in each space.

The light festival is part of Thamesmead's ongoing cultural programme, which aims to bring exceptional culture to everyday experiences and raise the profile of Thamesmead. The light festival is also part of our Making Space for Nature Programme which aims to connect people in Thamesmead with nature, wildlife and the landscape.

The festival can take place on any weekend date in February or March 2023, and can be on one date or spread over several days. It should focus on bringing people together and creating new audiences to experience these landscapes together. Proposed details should be included in your Invitation to Quote (ITQ) submission.
