The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. We are responsible for monitoring and inspecting services to ensure they are providing care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive to people's needs and well-led. Successful activity delivered over 2015/16 has demonstrated that partnerships are a very important and effective way for CQC to extend reach. Partnerships remain vital to the success of the 2016-2017 Public Engagement strategy. They will help to;

• Raise awareness and understanding of our role and purpose;
• Help us make sure we present a view of our role in the health and social care system in a way that makes sense to people;
• Encourage and enable people to share their experiences of care with us.

CQC are looking for a partner with an online focus, reflecting research that demonstrates the large reach and influence of certain online communities/websites have with women. As such, CQC require a partnership with an influential online community that reaches a varying range of women in England aged 18-+ we know value our information, including;

• Women in England who are, or who are looking to become, pregnant
• Women in England with young children
• Women in England with carer responsibilities
• Women in England with long term conditions
• Women in England choosing elective surgery
• Women in England choosing adult social care on behalf of themselves, or a loved one

CQC will use the partnership to:
• Increase public awareness and understanding of CQC and through this build confidence in our role and purpose;
• Prompt women in England aged 18+ to share their experiences of care with CQC to inform when, where and what CQC inspects;
• Provide opportunities for women in England aged 18+ to take part in engagement activities that support CQC to gain insight from this audience about their views on how CQC discharges it's regulatory functions;
• Promote resources we have available for people to make informed choices around their care, such as our inspection reports and ratings;
