Description

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) is responsible for the commemoration of almost 1.7 million members of the Commonwealth forces who gave their lives in the two world wars. CWGC cares for cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations, in
154 countries.

To support this work, the CWGC is looking to replace it's existing 2 Axis stone cutting machine with a CNC 5-Axis Machine.

Located at it's offices in Beaurains, France in a new purpose built facility which is due for completion during November2018, the machine will be capable of cutting a variety of stone including, but not limited to, Portland, Euville, Massangie JC and B, Savoniere, and Chauvigny, up to a weight of approximately 800 kg.

As well as delivery and installation, the successful tenderer will also be responsible for the maintenance and support of the machine for up to 5 years.

Please note that this notice gives advance notice of a future requirement. Potential tenderers are not asked to reply, or express an interest at this stage, and should note that the dates stated elsewhere in this notice are estimates at this stage. Once the requirement has been finalised a formal contract notice will be issued.

A Prior Information Notice has also been published in the Open Journal of the European Union reference 2018/S 051-112443 in relation to this requirement.
