Service under social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council Article 74 under Schedule 3 - Social and other specific services (Health, social and related services), and is subsequently exempt from the rules on the procedures for procurement by contracting authorities with respect to public contracts and design contests
The Locality Based First Tier Welfare Rights Advice Service provides first tier welfare rights information, advice and guidance in each of the 5 Sunderland localities on Welfare Benefits, Debt & Money Advice, Housing Rights, Employment Rights, the challenge of Council Tax & Housing Benefit decisions, including up to Unified Appeal Tribunals and general housing need advice, that supports the prevention of homelessness. The framework is split into lots each covering a locality within the City with a sole provider placed on each lot. The call off contract for the provision of the main locality advice provision will be awarded to the appointed provider on each lot simultaneously with the framework award.

Information Session
Sunderland City Council have a tender opportunity to appoint a provider to
deliver the requirements of a Locality based First Tier Welfare Rights Advice Service in each of the 5 localities in the City to improve customer financial sustainability and resilience.
To support providers in the tender process, a Provider Information Session
has been organised to give an overview of the Procurement Process specific
to this Tender.
The session will take place on Friday 31st January 2020 at 15:00 and will be held at:
