Description
West Lancashire Borough Council is seeking to tender its contract for security and concierge services at the West Lancashire Investment Centre, Skelmersdale.
The Investment Centre is a fully-serviced, 2-storey office complex located at White Moss Business Park next to junction 4 of the M58, just over 4 miles from the M6. It comprises approximately 40 office suites, 6 conference/meeting rooms and an on-site business café. The building offers tenant access 24/7 and currently houses around 300 people.
The contract entails the provision of a reliable and efficient security and concierge service from the Main Reception desk in the entrance foyer. In addition to regular patrols of the building the contractor's appointed personnel will also be required to undertake duties including, for example, welcoming conference guests and tenants' visitors; issuing passes to contract personnel; providing a key handling service for tenant suites, and accepting deliveries to site. Currently two members of staff are employed on this contract which the incumbent provider considers would be transferred to a new contractor under the TUPE Regulations.
It is the Council's intention to award a contract of 3 years, with possible extension(s) of up to an additional 2 years. The contract start date will be 1 April 2017.
