**Authority have updated this notice - maximum contract value over three years is £300,000 EXCLUDING VAT**

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the provision of Foundation Simulation Training - Virtual Reality Licenses.

The HEE East of England local office has invested in the provision of simulation-based education across the region. From August 2018, each foundation trainee attends one full day equivalent of mandatory high-fidelity simulation. During these sessions, the trainees are immersed into a simulated clinical scenario in real-time (e.g. a deteriorating patient), followed by a debriefing session involving the trainees, facilitator and their peers. Feedback from these sessions has shown that this educational experience is well received by the trainees and improves their confidence in managing deteriorating patient

For the 2019/2020 academic year HEE EOE Foundation School has introduced an innovative learning opportunity - virtual reality (VR) simulation for both FY1 and FY2 in the region. Licenses are required on an annual basis for this programme to be utilised.

The contract period will be for three years. The Commissioner reserves the right to extend the contract y up to one further year.

The contract value will be £300,000 over a term of three years

Mobilisation period 1st May to 1st August 2020.
Service provided 2nd August 2020 to 1st August 2023.
