Description
This project: is the refurbishment of 12 Ward Kitchens across three sites. These are Good Hope Hospital Sutton Coldfield, Heartlands Hospital Bordesley Green and Solihull Hospital Lode Lane.
The refurbishment briefly includes, with few exceptions, the stripping out of Kitchens, finishes and plumbing. Electrical work. New suspended ceiling and lighting, new vinyl flooring, and new Whiterock walling. New stainless steel furniture and reconnection of electrical and plumbing services. Redecoration.
Programme: by working at three hospitals maximum at the same time, and allowing maximum two weeks per Kitchen with seven day working, the Trust are hoping to complete all work by the end of March 2020. If it is clear this is not practicable the Trust will consider comprising the number of Kitchens to be refurbished.

Working Conditions: the Works are inside Wards that will continue to function as normal. This requires any Contractor to:
1. Ensure measures are in place and maintained to prevent the spread of dust and aspergillus.
2. Maintain competent site and office management to ensure the Wards continue to function without nuisance or interference from the Works.
3. Maintain a secured site that cannot be accessed by anyone other than the Contractor.
4. Control Sub Contractors.
