Description

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council are gauging market interest in this service as the current service has provided their Stop Smoking treatment recording solution for a number years. Any provider interested in this opportunity needs to be able to deliver a solution from 1st April 2019.

The maximum contract value is £6,000 per annum excluding VAT.

The purpose of the service is to provide a secure information system to store details of stop smoking activity undertaken by community pharmacies, GP practices and other community based providers in Southend. The system should provide "real time" access for both the provider and the Stop Smoking Service to facilitate improved patient care and dynamic reporting of outcomes. The service requires the secure input and reporting of patient level health data with appropriate safeguards to protect individual data. For clarity Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is the data controller and any potential provider would be the data processer in respect of any Personal Data.

The estimated contract value is £6,000 per annum for the information system.

If your organisation is able to meet the requirements and you are interested in this potential opportunity you will need to email leewatson@southend.gov.uk quoting Stop Smoking/2019 by 12noon on Friday 15th February 2019.

Should there be interest in this service, a procurement procedure will be adopted for this service and the council would expect to commence the process in February 2019. The term of a new contract would be four years.

If there is no interest expressed or request to participate, the Council will award a contract to the current provider for a maximum period of four years.
