Description
West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) are seeking expressions of interest from suppliers for the purchasing and installations of blue lights.
WMFS current cadre of Flexi Duty Officers are mobilised to emergency incidents under a blue light response using their own personal vehicles. These vehicles encompass a large number of different makes and models which also include PCP & lease cars.
WMFS have identified the type of blue light equipment that suits the requirements, however, would consider alternative solutions. The equipment will consist of front blue/white lights, rear blue/red lights, and number plate lights. Front and rear dash cameras and audibles (sirens) that will be controlled through the steering wheel.
WMFS seeks guidance in how an effective, professional process for installations can be achieved.
This is an early engagement exercise for WMFS to gain an understanding of what is available currently on the market.
As this project is in its early stages, there is no guarantee, at this stage, of a contract being awarded.
Up to five companies, of different sizes, will be invited to discuss their solution at the beginning of October 2022.
Please email procurement@wmfs.net by Monday 26th September 2022 to express an interest.
