Description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 19 October 2017 for the following reason: The Tender Submission Deadline has been extended to 1200hrs on Thursday 26 October 2017.The Authority has a requirement for the provision of Physical Training Facility access for Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) Personnel at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Birmingham. The proposed Contract shall be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further year with an anticipated Contract Commencement date of 1 January 2018.

The successful Bidder shall be situated within close proximity to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with no longer than 30 minutes travel time from door to door on foot. The facility shall enable delivery of military instructor-led training sessions to maintain, and improve, the physical fitness of military personnel to enable effective deployment on worldwide operations.

The main requirement is for access to a Sports Hall that can accommodate training sessions for up to 60 personnel with the associated access to changing facilities and physical training equipment. The sessions are to number 15 per week (Mon-Fri) and have a regular agreed timetable within the overall Gym programme.

The successful Service Provider shall demonstrate that they can provide the required access to facilities as per the Statement of Requirement.

The Service Provider shall provide 9 core sessions at stipulated timings (Mon-Fri) with 6 additional sessions to be agreed after contract award with the end user (Mon-Fri) within 0800-2000hrs time window.

Within a 12 month period it is estimated that a total of 750 sessions shall be required, although these figures may fluctuate in accordance with demand.

The evaluation criterion for this requirement is Most Economically Advantageous to Tender (MEAT) with an agreed scoring weighting of 60 Technical and 40 Price.
