Description
Durham County Council is seeking to commission a recovery focused care and support service at Langley Mews. The intention is to provide an outcome focused, needs led service which is cost effective.
The proposed service at Langley Mews (Meadowfield) consists of a supported accommodation scheme for eighteen adults who present with a range of more complex mental health needs. This opportunity is to provide a recovery focused model. From the perspective of the individual with mental illness, recovery means gaining and retaining hope, understanding of ones abilities and disabilities, engagement in an active life, personal autonomy, social identity, meaning and purpose in life, and a positive sense of self.
