Description

Brent Council has an exciting opportunity as they seek to recommission their local Healthwatch provision, a statutory duty under the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
The aim of local Healthwatch is to act as the consumer voice for health and social care. It aims to benefit patients, users of services, carers and the public through promoting and supporting the involvement of people in the commissioning and provision of services, helping services to be more responsive to people's needs and improving outcomes.
Healthwatch Brent will be effective and independent and is expected to coordinate and build upon on all of the existing mechanisms for engaging users of health and social care services. It will also be expected to establish relationships that engage communities, patient, service user, carer groups and bring a strong voice to the Health and Wellbeing Board
The total budget for the whole contract period of 5 year will be upto £628,761. The duration of the contracts will be for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend for two years on a one plus one basis.

The estimated commencement of the services will be 1st April 2021 The provider we are looking for must therefore be able to demonstrate that they have a track record of delivering services of a similar nature and can evidence that they are able to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users. The Council will be using an open, one stage process under the "Light Touch Regime". Additional information can be obtained from https://www.londontenders.org/.
The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award any contract pursuant to this procurement exercise and/or to abandon this procurement exercise at any time and/or to award a contract for part of the services at its sole discretion. The Contracting Authority shall have no liability whatsoever to any applicant or tenderer as a result of its exercise of that discretion. For the avoidance of doubt, all costs incurred by any applicant and/or tenderer before signature of any contract with the Contracting Authority shall be incurred entirely at the applicants/tenderers risk.
