Description

Atherton Lake Flood Storage Reservoir is an Environment Agency owned and maintained reservoir that requires maintenance to ensure compliance with the Reservoirs Act. As the Environment Agency is an inspecting authority, we must demonstrate our professional commitment to continue to display our leading role in reservoir management. Failing to do so would endanger the local residents from an EA asset and would cause the EA's reputation to plummet. The demand for this project to be completed is high. This is due to the increased scrutiny on reservoirs from the public and government, especially after the incident at Toddbrook Reservoir.
