Description

Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) is seeking a café style catering and hospitality service to meet the needs of staff and visitors located at their offices in their County Hall complex in Walton Street Aylesbury. The offices are situated in Walton Street and the café is located on the lower ground floor. About 1500 people work from the County Hall with about 800 physically present in the building at any one time. There are also approximately 2000 visitors into the building each week who will also access the café. The café has seating for a minimum of 40 covers at any time. The offices / café are not open to the public. There is no guarantee of minimum usage and usage currently varies on a daily basis. Contractors may suggest suitable ideas to offer options that will deliver the optimal service with suppliers being responsible for taking payments/invoicing and ensuring that the service they are providing can be profitable for them. BCC are not able to offer a subsidy, although all utility costs will be covered and space is being provided at a peppercorn rent. On this basis, we are seeking details of the service that you can offer at nil cost to the Council. The contract start date shall be as early as possible in 2018, but no later than March. The anticipated contract start date is 6 March 2018. The contract term is 3 years. The notice period for the break provision shall be 3 months at any time after the second anniversary of the contract start date.
