Description
The Midlands Districts Insurance Consortium consist of 8 District Councils from across Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire who are carrying out a joint tender for insurances which will include (but not limited to) Property Damage (including Material Damage, Business Interruption, Contract Works/Works in Progress, Money, and All Risks), Terrorism, Casualty (including Employers Liability, Public/Products Liability, Officials Indemnity, Professional Indemnity, Libel & Slander and Public Health), Fidelity Guarantee/Crime, Motor Fleet and Uninsured Loss Recovery, Personal Accident/Travel, Engineering Insurance and Computers.
The 8 Councils have a common renewal date of the 1st July 2019 but have separate polices with different perils, limits of indemnity and excess.
Contracts for each Lot will be evaluated as a Consortium and the Award for each Lot will be made to the Most Economically Advantageous Bid for each Lot against the Award criteria. In addition to conventional insurance approach, the Consortium will also be seeking bids on a non-conventional pooled basis.
The Consortium are using the e-procurement portal known as the Proactis Pro-Contract portal https://procontract.due-north.com to conduct this procurement exercise.
To gain access to the procurement documents, contractors will need to register their company details at the above website. Once registered, contractors will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the procurement documents. Contractors will need to search for the invitation under Wychavon District Council and then electronically submit an expression of interest and follow the online instructions to view the procurement documents.
Contractors are required to return the relevant tender documents via the Proactis ProContract portal no later than 12 noon on 9 May 2019.
Any contractor questions must be submitted via the Pro-Contract portal website. Any clarifications will be issued via the Pro-Contract portal.
