Brief description:

Homelessness Prevention Officer - Agency Staff (posts for a minimum period of 2 months)

The role is temporary to reduce a backlog of outstanding approaches for homelessness services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Councils Housing Solutions Service to provide an effective and professional person-centred approach to the prevention and relief of homelessness. To undertake a holistic approach to casework including the assessment and investigation of homelessness in line with the Councils statutory duties.

This is a challenging and high-pressured environment, working with vulnerable families and customers with varying needs. If you feel you are up to the challenge then we want to hear from you.

Candidates must have a minimum qualification of GCSE Maths and English level 2, or equivalent, and have a knowledge of homelessness. There will be a requirement to be present in the office for some days each week.

We are looking for candidates with CV evidence of knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act. Please view the Personnel Specification for further specialist knowledge and experience requirements.

Qualification requirement: Numeracy & Literacy Level 2
