Scope Overview:
The Council requires, thirteen new vehicles to replace existing vehicles from their replacement programme.
The seven specifications are to be of the latest design and to comply with manufacturer's specification and all present and foreseeable, Construction and Use Regulations, with certificates confirming that the vehicle has been approved, in order to meet the NFDC specifications. These vehicles form part of an on-going replacement programme for NFDC, to ensure efficiencies and introduce flexibility in service provision. NFDC are keen to show that the environment is top of its agenda and would like to see the options for energy and fuel saving technologies, with the aim to reduce emissions and promote a cleaner agenda for transport within the District. Electric alternatives welcome, with whole life cost data to compare. Therefore, options to reflect this are required.
