Description

Tenders are invited for Building Fabric Supervisor Support for the Smart Innovation Hub project at Keele University in accordance with the Tender Specification (Scope of Service). This is attached as a separate document.


The form of contract that the University intends to enter into with the Service Provider for the work will be the NEC 3 Professional Services Contract (PSC) as amended by the University together with the Scope of Service. The Schedule of Amendments to the NEC 3 PSC are provided in Section 3 of the ITT (Schedule A) and the Scope of Service is detailed in the Tender Specification in Section 2 of the ITT.


The programmed date of appointment for the Building Fabric Supervisor Support will be 31st January 2018 and the contract will run up until the end of the defects period on 31st July 2020.

The main contractor has been appointed and is commencing work on the project immediately to allow the design and stakeholder process to commence as soon as possible. The Construction programme is from early January 2018 until 31st July 2019. The Construction value is £11,949,832.65 + VAT.

The Smart Innovation Hub is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds England Growth Programme 2014-2020, Staffordshire County Council, the University of Keele and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Single Local Growth Fund. The Building Fabric Supervisor Support for the Smart Innovation Hub is also part funded by ERDF.
