Description

Maintenance and reactive repairs to mechanical and electrical installations and assets across WYCA's portfolio of properties and on-street assets.

WYCA operates 8 staffed and 9 unstaffed bus stations, has responsibility for almost 14,000 bus stops and looks after around 4,500 bus shelters, of which approximately 70% have electrical connections. This contract will cover work at bus stations, offices and the shelters with electrical connections.

The electrical work includes inspection & testing, re-lamping, emergency light testing, fire alarms, battery replacements and ad-hoc repairs to the installations.

The electrical work at passenger shelters involves inspection & testing, and carrying out ad hoc electrical repair work.

The mechanical work includes routine maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water hygiene, drainage, plumbing installations and general building maintenance.

The contract will initially be for 3 years but may be extended, at WYCA's discretion, by up to a further 2 years.
