Description

Dudley MBC requires suitable experienced contractors to tender for the Design and Creation of Lectern Interpretation Boards for Castle Hill, Dudley. This project is ERDF funded and as such requires a level of public advertising.

A graphic designer, working in partnership with a suitable sign manufacturer, is required to fully design, manufacture and install four A1 size freestanding Lectern style outdoor Interpretation Boards for the Dudley Castle Hill attractions visitor entrance area, this is a large outdoor site currently under construction which includes car parks, landscape features, entrance footpaths and a Hub information pavilion. It is anticipated that the project Design Phase will be completed by the end of July 2015 and the Fabrication/Installation Phase will be completed by the end of September 2015.

Dudley MBC has adopted Constructionline methodology for demonstrating financial risk, technical capability and Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) as its vehicle for health & safety assessment. Constructionline is the certification service for construction-related contractors, consultants and material suppliers, and has been developed to save the industry millions of pounds by reducing duplication in the selection criteria process.

Constructionline registered companies need only to provide their Constructionline registration number on page two of the selection criteria questionnaire and sign and date the last page. Registered suppliers can direct any queries regarding Constructionline categories to Cheryl Wrench, via email at cheryl.wrench@capita.co.uk or by telephone on 07801 047961.

Please note that all applicants must hold a valid SSIP certificate from any of the scheme members. The Constructionline categories required for this contract are 'Architectural & Design', 'Product Design' or 'Signage Consultancy' with a category value of £20,000. The contract requires minimum of £5,000,000 insurance cover for Employer's Liability, and £5,000,000 insurance cover for Public Liability.

Companies not registered with Constructionline are not precluded from expressing an interest in this contract but will need to demonstrate that they meet the selection criteria requirements. Non-registered companies must therefore complete the PAS 91 questionnaire in full.

The answers provided in the questionnaire will form the basis of the selection process together with tender proposals.

Applicants not registered with Constructionline are encouraged to do so as this will simplify the selection criteria process. Any company wishing to register in order to respond to this advert should contact the Midlands region dedicated Business Development Manager at Constructionline, Mr Andrew Turner on 07860 949906 or via email at andrew.turner2@capita.co.uk at the earliest opportunity to discuss becoming a member of Constructionline and/or to understand more about SSIP.
