Description
The aim of this research project is to update the existing hazard maps, that were originally published in 2015, for the probability of exceeding specific radon levels in water. In addition, the project aims to collate and review existing knowledge, research and data on the areas of risk of tritium in England and Wales and develop a hazard map for the risk of exceeding specific tritium levels in water.
The findings of this research project will be used to inform our regulatory position in relation to radon and tritium in public supplies and used to update our private water supplies guidance on radon and tritium. This project will provide an opportunity to update the evidence base from which to evaluate the regulatory standards in relation to radon and tritium.
