Description

The London Borough of Merton (LBM) has a requirement for an experienced and qualified organisation to design and deliver a suite of public health programmes for residents/registered population of Merton. This suite of programmes includes 1. A multicomponent tier two weight management programme for adults. 2. A multidisciplinary tier three weight management programme for adults. 3. A multicomponent tier two weight management programme for children and young people. 4. A stop smoking and harm reduction service for young people and adults. 5. A targeted health improvement service, incorporating a network of health champions. 6. Delivery of training to front line workers to support the prevention agenda. Bidders should note that we are seeking to commission a single organisation to integrate the management function, referral pathways (including a single point of referral) and delivery mechanisms to create a single integrated service and pathways that contributes to a reduction in health inequalities in Merton. Although the contract for the service will be with a single host organisation, we are comfortable with a partnership/sub contracted approach involving a number of delivery partners. Where this approach is taken the bid should clearly describe the mechanisms, management structures and organisational policies that will cover the delivery of the services.
