Description

NWL CCG, requires a locally based support service in Harrow for children and young adults up to 25 years with a disability, autism or ADHD and their families including parents and siblings.

Key services required include:
-Family workers to provide information, signposting and onward referral to other services, sources of support and specialist advice
-Tailored practical support - letter writing, attend meetings, make phone calls, support parent to self-advocate, grants applications, benefit maximisation and emotional support.
-Facilitate therapies for children/ family members living with autism or another learning disability
-Facilitate counselling and creative therapy services for family members to assist with stress
-Together with the Centre for ADHD and Autism Support (CAAS) facilitate the following:
-Monthly adult ADHD Groups
-An 'Understanding my ADHD' Strategy Group
-Individual support for adults with ADHD

-Monthly post ADHD workshop groups for parents/carers

The CCG currently has a contract in place with Kids Can Achieve (KCA) to provide the above services. The term of this contract is 18 months, 1st October 2021 - 31st March 2023 (value: £70,194.00) during which time, the CCG will assess the needs of the service users and consider how (if relevant) it needs to:
-Secure the needs of the people who use the services.
-Improve the quality of the services.
-Improve the efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way.

NWL CCG is currently of the view that the services described are capable of being provided only by KCA as there are currently no alternative comparable providers locally with the skill, coordination and support for this NHS cohort of patients.

If it is the case that KCA is the only provider capable of delivering the services described, then the CCG will look to award a further contract to KCA for up to 2 years starting on 1st April 2023.

The purpose of this notice is to be transparent about the CCG's intentions and to invite anyone interested in delivering the services described above to contact us by 4 March 2022.

During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future contract and/or procurement opportunity may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
