Description

Chelmsford City Council, in the heart of Essex, has operated a CCTV system since October 1995 for crime prevention and public safety in public spaces, especially in the City Centre shopping areas. The service has been extremely successful in supporting the police and enhancing the sense of safety for City Centre Users.

The system has grown consistently since its inception and this opportunity represents a major upgrade, within the administrative area of Chelmsford City Council, along with others Essex towns that the City Council has forged new partnerships.

This exercise is to:
- Install new equipment - 4 month programme.
- Maintain all CCTV equipment over a 4 year contract.
