A47 GUYHIRN JUNCTION SCHEME
NOTIFICATION OF SUBCONTRACT GROUNDWORKS PACKAGE

The A47 Guyhirn Junction Project is the first of series of 5 projects on the A47 Corridor that Galliford Try are delivering with Highways England through the Regional Delivery Programme - East. The project involves increasing the size of the existing roundabout and approaches to improve capacity. The roundabout is situated at the junction with the A141 some 20km east of Peterborough
To enable to successful delivery of the project we are seeking to procure a specialist groundworks subcontractor with experience of delivering major highways projects. The scope of works will involve:-
We are seeking to procure a Groundworks Package for the works that will encompass the following elements:

• Main Compound Establishment
• Enabling Works
• General site clearance
• Drainage
• Earthworks
• Sub Base
• Kerbs & Footways (excl bituminous surfacing)
• Ducts & Chambers for Street Lighting & Traffic Signal installation
• Attendance on Statutory Undertakers (details tbc)

The project is forecast to commence on site in February 2021
Subcontractors bidding for this opportunity will be required to demonstrate their capability and capacity for successfully delivering a project of this size and nature and provide examples of similar projects.
