Description

Cherwell District Council (CDC) wishes to procure a service for the supply of an "App" which forms one of the project elements within CDC's ERDF allocation of the Reopening of High Streets Safely fund. The Authority intends to enter into a contract directly with one successful Tenderer to provide an "App" to: ensure the safety of employees and shoppers; boost shopper confidence and promote economic recovery.
The Shopping & Leisure App will be available throughout the four main towns/villages in Cherwell district in order to promote consumer safety and aid economic recovery in the retail and hospitality sectors.
The App should have the following key functions:
• It should digitise routes indicating reopened shops and hospitality venues.
• It should provide information on the safety measures that have been put in place by businesses listed
• It should provide information on precautions that shoppers should be taking when planning a visit to businesses

The App will include information on 'what to expect' to increase the confidence of the public returning to the high streets. This contract is for one year. This is funded through the Reopening High Streets Safely Fund which is ERDF funded through HM Government. The Reopening High Streets Safely Fund Grant Action Plan funding will allow local authorities in England to put in place additional measures to establish a safe trading environment for businesses and customers, particularly in high streets.
