Description
Stockton on Tees Alternative Provision. Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, are seeking to establish a framework agreement for Alternative Provision in line with the Department of Education Alternative Provision Statutory Guidance.
Alternative Provision is a term used to refer to learning and support offered primarily outside of School that is deemed to be an intervention aimed at helping 'turn around pupils before they become disengaged with their education' and will 'deliver appropriate educational progress'. The Council has a responsibility to ensure a sufficiency of Alternative Provision in their local area.
Alternative Provision should be good quality, registered where appropriate, and delivered by high quality staff with suitable training, experience and safeguarding checks. It should have clearly defined objectives relating to both personal and academic achievement.
Providers awarded a place on this framework will be either a School registered to provide alternative education or an unregistered Provider that offers alternative provision.
