Description

Expression of Interest Summary

Together Housing is a Registered Social Housing Provider that owns and manages 37,000 properties across the north of England. It is committed to managing the impact energy has upon the business and its customers by mitigating threats and exploiting opportunities that a rapidly changing sector brings.

It is proposing a solar PV and battery storage pilot project designed to test a new investment model working with emerging markets in the energy sector. The project aims to install 250 solar PV with battery systems on its domestic houses and bungalows in east Lancashire. Each installation will consist of:

A minimum of 3kwp solar PV

A minimum of 5kw of battery storage

The systems will be designed to operate in the following way:

Direct sales of power to tenants as a private wire arrangement

Sale of any excess unused power using forms of peer to peer arrangements

Participation in demand side response services

A full remote data collection and analytics system / portal will be required to support this operation.

A contractor is required to deliver the installation programme and manage all aspects of supply. The project is likely to be delivered between April and September 2019.
