Description

This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 74 for Legal Services.
The University wishes to appoint a panel of legal services providers to provide expert legal advice ('Panel firms') in 4 Lots.
Lot 1: Property and Estates
Lot 2: Employment and Higher Education
Lot 3: Commercial/Contractual and Intellectual Property
Lot 4: Patent Services
For Lots 1-3, the University intends to appoint two Panel firms to whom work will be allocated at the discretion of Legal Services; for Lot 4, the intention is to appoint four Panel firms, again, to whom work will be allocated at Legal Services' discretion. For higher value work the University may seek quotations from all firms on the panel for a particular 'Lot' to ensure best value. It is possible for a Panel firm to be appointed to more than one Lot.
The contract/framework value is an estimate and within the range of £1,000,000 and £4,000,000 which is cumulative over the 4 lots. The legal and patents budget per year being c. £250,000 but with the potential scope for larger projects.
This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 74.
As this is a tender under the Light Touch Regime, the procurement is not being run in line with a standard procurement procedure. The procurement will involve shortlisted bidders to attend a presentation stage at the University's Exeter Streatham Campus.
