Description
Birmingham City Council (the Council) Public Health Division is looking to commission an organisation for the supply and distribution of toothbrush packs for children and vulnerable adults in the community who can produce and deliver 3 different types of toothbrush packs at high volume which meet the following minimum requirements:
1) 1 x Adult Toothbrush, 100ml Paraben Free Toothpaste (minimum 1350 ppm fluoride), custom leaflet enclosure, in sealed packet
2) 1 x Child Toothbrush, 100ml Paraben Free Toothpaste (minimum 1350 ppm fluoride), custom leaflet enclosure, in sealed packet
3) 1 x Child Toothbrush, 100ml Paraben Free Toothpaste (minimum 1350 ppm fluoride), custom leaflet enclosure, 1 x two-minute timer in sealed packet
This also includes printing of leaflets to promote oral health and the distribution of products to multiple sites across the City.
There are 475 delivery sites across the whole of the City of Birmingham, including every primary school, where the supplier will need to ensure their product arrives safely without damage. Delivery will be to education settings and support organisations rather than directly to children and vulnerable adults. Proof of delivery is required. The supplier will be responsible for any losses or damage in transit.
Phase 1 - Supply and delivery of 12,500 Adult Packs to 10 sites that support vulnerable adults by 30th August 2022
Supply and delivery of 4000 child packs with timers to 156 nurseries by 30th August 2022 (some of these settings may move to phase 2)
Phase 2 - Supply and Delivery of 36,600 child packs to 306 Schools between 26th September and 21st October 2022
This contract will be for a period of 4 months commencing 18th July 2022 until 10th November 2022.
