Description

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is the appointed market surveillance authority, responsible for enforcing the Ecodesign Regulations for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information Regulations within the UK.

OPSS will carry out market surveillance to determine the current levels of compliance in the Dishwashers sector in line with the requirements for Ecodesign and Energy Information Regulations.
2. Aims and Objectives
To test 7 Dishwashers to determine their compliance with EU regulations listed below - in British Standards where applicable.
- The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information Regulations 2021 - UK Statutory Instruments 2021/745, and
- Retained Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2017 with regard to the Energy Information requirements for Dishwashers.
Testing shall include labelling requirements on airborne noise emissions.
