Description

BAE Systems Maritime - Naval Ships (the Purchaser) is seeking interested parties to supply Motor Generator Sets for the Royal Navy's Type 26 Global Combat Ship.
The function of the Motor Generator Sets is to provide electrical power to meet all ship service demands for specific combat systems equipment. The scope of supply includes air cooled Motor Generator set complete with all auxiliaries, including control panel, for an onboard power generation application to convert a Lloyd's quality 440V electrical supply to a 440V Def Stan quality of power output. Two in number sets are required per ship, each capable of providing 36kW continuously followed by a maximum load of 150kW for 60 seconds in a 10 minute period. The set will be required to comply with a number of Engineering Standards including Lloyd's Register Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Naval Ships, along with environmental requirements including shock, spacial, noise and vibration constraints.
