Description
Sunderland City Council ("SCC") intends to work towards the delivery of a Mobility Hub within Sunderland City Centre.
Scope of Requirements:
The relocation of SCC's Headquarters to a new City Hall, as part of the wider Riverside Sunderland development, with a key focus on sustainability and integrated mobility, provide the ideal opportunity to work towards delivery of one of the UK's first Mobility Hubs. The initial focus being to deliver an SCC electric pool vehicle solution, consisting of 10 electric vehicles (Nissan Leaf or similar) and 20 e-bikes, as this will serve as the foundation from which to develop the Mobility Hub and expand to wider partner then public use.
An overview of the scope of requirements is outlined within the Pre-Procurement Market Testing Questionnaire.
Pre-Procurement Market Testing Exercise:
Prior to procuring individual elements/products, SCC would like to establish whether any supplier or a consortium of suppliers are capable and interested in delivering initial core elements, then work with SCC to develop a fully integrated Mobility Hub.
SCC is keen to obtain up-to-date insight from the market and is therefore undertaking a Pre-Procurement Market Testing exercise to explore business, technological and innovative solutions that are available. In addition, this will allow SCC to gauge the level of market interest.
Please note: this Pre-Procurement Market Testing exercise is for information only and in no way forms part of any competitive procurement process. It is only to assess the reaction of the market, which may or may not lead to a procurement opportunity in the future. Written submissions will therefore not be evaluated, scored, or taken into assessment of tenders in any future process in any way.
