Description
Leicester City Council is considering options for a digital referral system for Children's Assistive Technology which requires a single platform through which all referrals for assistive technology filter and in which a central database can be housed and managed.
For the purpose of this exercise, assistive technology refers to both sensory and non-sensory needs of children in both mainstream and special schools and settings. Non sensory refers to physical disability and sensory refers specifically to visual and hearing impairments.
The service is looking to improve its operations and efficiencies by using digital technology and align with strategic priorities. This is further highlighted in Appendix A and the expectation is that these priorities will be factored into any responses received.
