Description

The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Collaboration (RAICo®) includes an initial three-year programme of technology development. The programme is focused on
delivering and proving underlying robotics and artificial intelligence technologies that are required for effective nuclear decommissioning, as well as providing deployment opportunities to have maximum operational impact.

This requirement is for an autonomous ground vehicle for installation into the UKAEA Materials Research Facility, The MRF currently uses a shielded sample trolley to move prepared samples between preparation and testing hot-cells. This project is focused on enabling the automation of the movement of this trolley, increasing operational efficiency and minimizing risk to operators
