Description
Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the Supply and Installation of On Street Electric Vehicle Charge Points and Back Office Function. Project Description Swindon Borough Council (the Employer) wishes to submit to tender the requirements for the provision of the supply, delivery, installation, connection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of 11x double-socket electric vehicle chargers, capable of delivering 22kW per socket, in the Borough of Swindon. SBC require chargepoints that are capable of at least charging those vehicles with a Type 2 connection and meets at least the minimum required technical specifications in the latest OLEV guidance. These charging units are to be installed in residential areas within the SN1 postcode in the Borough of Swindon. The charging units are to be available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. These works are to encourage take up of electric vehicles through facilitating on street charging where residents currently have no access to off street charging and will support the Council's environmental vision and priorities. Full details relating to the Works and Services are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents.
