AWARD ONLY OF:-

The provision of a Live at Home Scheme currently to accommodate over 100 active members in North Tyneside and an additional 25 people to receive a regular newsletter. . Criteria for membership of the scheme is to be aged sixty or over and to be living alone in their own home, (including sheltered housing), or to be living in a family home but with significant time spent alone, leading to social isolation. The service must include a meal, arrange companion and an activity, while staff and volunteers can check on them and refer them to other services if needed. Some activities may include, for example, coffee mornings, bingo or other opportunities for members to get together have some fun and company and enjoy an activity.
