Description
The requirement is to undertake a visitor access study within the Upper Nene Valley Gravel Pits SPA in Northamptonshire which will:
•Assess the current levels of recreation
•Identify sites where visitor pressure may already be having an adverse effect on wildlife and the environment; sites where (if current trends continue) such an adverse effect might be anticipated; and sites where access and visitor facilities could be enhanced, including (potentially) increasing numbers of visitors.
•Produce a set of recommendations to increase the overall range of opportunities people have to visit, enjoy and understand the natural environment in the NIA while also securing the favourable condition of sensitive sites.
