Description

GMCA seeks a research company to develop and deliver a report over a 4 - 5 month period producing a more detailed understanding of the particular sub-sectors and niches in GM's advanced manufacturing base, going beyond Standard Industry Classification (SIC) code definitions, as well as an assessment of the routes for accelerating rate of innovation among these companies - including how to drive demand across for the commercialisation of advanced materials, and industry engagement in translational research and development activities with Universities and other innovation agencies. Within this framework, we also want to understand the impacts of COVID-19 on the innovation potential of GM's manufacturing companies, as far as this is presently understood.
The scope of the research set out herein is intended to support GM to achieve a comprehensive, detailed understanding of the high-value sub-sectors (or specialisms), and niche areas within GM's manufacturing base (going beyond SIC codes), and the associated innovation pipelines or trajectories, including any gaps.
