Description

Homes England is seeking to appoint a Independent Connection Provider (ICP) and Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) to provide, own and operate a new electrical network to provide power to the York Central Development.

The contract is estimated to end in 2026/27 - subject to programme of build-out, completion of novated agreements for development connections and energisation. The Contract End date is subject to the phasing and novation of the IDNO agreements to the developer(s). The contract start and end date included in this notice are estimates only.

It is expected that the contract value will be between £6,000,000 and £9,700,000 depending on the solution proposed by the successful supplier. Full suite of documents can be found on ProContract.

Scope of works (this is not an exhaustive list)

- Identifying the required demand of electrical network
- Design of the networks to facilitate future YC development
- Sizing of duct banks (no. of ducts) and chamber requirements to accommodate future on-plot electrical network requirements
- Production of a network design and delivery which is suitable for adoption by DNO/iDNO
- Offsite works to provide YC with sufficient electrical power to facilitate full build-out of the YC development
- On site primary infrastructure works, as necessary
- Onsite 11kV network and HV/LV substations
- LV feeds to YC customers.
