Description

Painting and Decorating Pilot Commission (Scotland). This commissioned opportunity will see CITB invest £600k in Scotland over two years, specifically within the Central Belt and Highlands of Scotland as the pilots focussed geographical areas. The underlying issue is that the Painting & Decorating occupation has skills supply and demand gaps across all regions of Scotland. This was borne out by the recent CITB regional skills analysis which showed an annual shortfall of 2,450 employment opportunities: 'the gap'. This has been noted by CITB as a high-risk occupational issue.
