Description

The final date and time for the submission of bids is Friday 15th November 2019 at 11:00.

DO NOT apply directly to the buyer.

All tender documentation MUST be submitted through the Delta eSourcing portal.

Brief Description of Requirement:

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) - Medical Research Council (MRC) have a requirement to appoint a Design Services Contractor. The majority of the works relates to Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) aspects with a small element of architectural/structural work for the re-modelling of the entrance and staff areas. In developing the design for the works, all respective measures need to be included (temporary works, equipment etc) that will ensure that the facility is kept fully operational at all times.

The services that UKRI MRC are seeking under this appointment are those of the Lead Designer and CDM coordinator with the provision of all relevant design disciplines, with additional services as described within the tender documentation.

The Lead Designer will be required to provide duties in accordance with:

- RIBA Outline Plan of Work 2013
- RIBA Multi-disciplinary Schedules of Service
- Principal Designers: Roles and Responsibilities - Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015

The scope of works is based on RIBA Schedules or Work. It is assumed that the successful bidder will provide services from RIBA 1 to RIBA 6. However, we are requesting the alternatively priced option for designing up to RIBA 3 with continuation of the service as a technical supervisor (Contractor to take D&B responsibility starting at RIBA 4).

PLEASE NOTE: whilst this opportunity covers all RIBA stages 1-6, the employer will have no liability to continue the contract after RIBA 3, if no approval for the project is gained.

Please note you will be required to complete and return the Non-Disclosure Agreement in the attachment section in order to be able to gain access to the documentation for this procurement.

This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
